Happy New Year to all!

Let it snow! Let it snow! Hope your Holidays brought you many more happy memories with family and friends. Welcome to the January newsletter. I have been working on the Midwest Team pages for the Midwest guide and just completed. It was my first time designing the pages so I hope everyone will be pleased and satisfied with the final pages. Let me know your thoughts and concerns when the Midwest guide gets distributed.

About Ski Camp This Summer

As I stated before, the Midwest Team will pay $350 for each qualified member with the remaining amount of $175 is the responsibility of the member. Please let me know whether your skier will be attending ski camp this year. I would like to have a confirmed number, so I can start filling the vacant slots with the alternates so the alternates can start planning, too. Thank you for prompt action.

Don’t forget about the Fundraising, Summer Will Be Here Before We Know It.

The key to a successful silent auction will be getting quality donations early. Please consider donating silent auction items valued at a minimum of $50. Sponsors will receive recognition on our Midwest Regional Website, Midwest e-newsletter, signage at Regional, and a listing in the 2012 Midwest Regional Program Booklet. Please get sponsor logos in a jpg format and e-mail them to me. If you have ideas, or wish to donate a specific item, or would rather just send a check to be spent toward a silent auction item, please let me know. Please forward any ideas on improving the fundraising for the team. I am open to any suggestions to expanding this fund which can help all junior skiers. Thanks in advance for your help with donations and suggestions. We need 100% participation from all of our junior elite families and would appreciate help from other junior families!

Junior Development Clinic

I encourage Junior Clinics within the states. There are many new young skiers that don’t get the opportunity to attend ski school with the Midwest Team. While attending the Midwest winter meeting, I learned that the Midwest board has allocated up to $100 per approved clinic to be used for Midwest junior clinics.
